Our souls are designed to be satifisfied by something bigger and more beautiful than us. If you want infinite joy you must marvel at infinite beauty. We were made for this.

People spend their whole lives searching for significance. But they often miss it because they are looking inside. Nothing within us is big enough to satisfy that longing. Significance is found not by looking at how significant we are but how significant God is. The most significant thing about you is that the most significant person in the world knows you and loves you. The satisfaction we seek is found as we marvel at the splendor of God – and delight in the wisdom, power and love of Jesus Christ.

God supplies our needs not just for our joy but in order that His generosity would flow from us to serve the needs of others. As people see the love of Christ working through our hands, it will also lead them to experience the joy of applauding God for the help and hope He sent through us.
